Steve58 | | 460 posts since 2018Could these high return 5 year CDs be pulled after tomorrow CPI-U data release even after you have placed an order for it and before they accept it, since their settlement dates are after tomorrow? Comparable term treasuries are way below where the CDs are at.
sams1985 | | 781 posts since 2022Same exact thing happened in November - 5% brokered Cd's everywhere the night before. CPI came out and they vanished the next day but as far as i know the banks honored the CD's as the settlement date was the following week.
