Quorum FCU won best credit union. CFG won best regional bank. I do business with both of these FI's and like them.

What gives me pause is that Ally won best bank overall and best online bank. It seems that some DA contributors have become disenchanted with Ally recently.

Go into an office where most FIs proudly boast ethical awards, etc yet do not disclose the millions in penalties they’ve paid! And rating services…months late. IF any FI (especially nonstock traded ones like CUs) was interested in providing timely info they would provide ongoing access to books AND at a minimum what regulatory entities have access to on a similar timeframe. Ergo, fewer regulators will be needed given visibility.  Sunlight works miracles!

What concerns me regarding Ally is its mere "B" rating here on DA. Therefore, I closed out a mature CD and am draining down my online saving account.
