Bills maturing around the new perceived X-date are now over 6.2%. June 6 & 15 maturities. Time to hold ‘em or fold ‘em.

Admittedly we’re not talking get rich quick here as the time to maturity is relatively short, but I’m happy lending overpriced money any chance I get.

Yes, this is probably worth buying if you have liquid money you don't need in the next month. It will be very interesting to see if they can get a deal done by June 1. I don't think they can but I also don't think the treasury will default on any of the treasuries coming due in June. There is plenty of revenue to pay interest on all govt debt for the month of June.

MAKNYC, care to predict what tomorrow's 4-week T-Bill will auction for?
Lou, looks like they've got a deal done by June 1.
Guess whatever case could have been made for temporarily avoiding treasuries is now moot.

Agree. I did buy the 4-week bill two weeks ago with the 5.47% yield, so I am happy with how it played out.

5.00% ish. Perhaps a tad lower. The jig is up.
