Some companies and restaurants are cutting back on the quality of ingredients or using cheaper fillers. A chef at a work cafeteria is putting more bread crumbs in meat loaf. He told me anymore bread crumbs and it would be bread loaf.

I don't know that I'd necessarily call in Invidious (as one first has to be aware of it going on before anger even enters the picture. People can easily be oblivious to it or at least oblivious as to how widespread it is) as much as I'd call it insidious.

I can only speak for myself. I've experienced two examples of shrinkflation personally in just the most recent weeks; both were annoying at the very least.

But if you're arguing others could be unaware or oblivious, sadly I have to agree. My choice of words reflected my own experience and reaction.
