I know there has been a lot of unfounded concern spread on this website about Advancial CU and their viability. Seems overblown to me, so I tend to ignore it. But still there is that talk here.

I have had nothing but good things to say about their customer service and website (accept the DL issue). They seem like a fine bunch, best that I have seen. And now they have opened up a new branch in Houston. Would they be opening a new branch if times are trying for them?. I don't know. But I hope this news help some here to be less concerned about too many eggs in one basket.

Going to the COOP tomorrow to deposit one more check for another bite at this apple. Hope it is still available!

Steve58 I agree with you they are fine people. I have been a member for over 10 years and they are the best I have dealt with so far. I remember a couple of years ago they opened up a new branch in the Dallas area as well. I am not a worrier by nature and if I was not already maxed out on the NCUA insurance at Advancial I would also be putting in some funds into the 5 year jumbo CD.

Looks like the Advancial rates have not changed as of the morning of 1 Feb, 2024. 5.4% 60 month is still available. I just purchased again before the 1st. Is it good until the end of the month? Who knows.

Let the doomsayer lamenting continue.

They are good. No concern with them. Nice to see they are expanding. That is very positive.

My long term concern is BRICS and that "fake it until make it" idiot POTUS sitting in white-house who has done nothing but broke American's back by letting inflation run away in past 3 years.
