Good find, Sanger. I know you put their phone number, but any more info anyone has found out? Early Withdrawal Penalty, how to fund, etc? Their website doesn't give any info at all about CDs.

Hi, you need to call them, and I think I made a mistake it is 15 months for 5.50 I did not go with them I went with Credit Human I have an account with then I did not get into the details about the penalty for early with draw great people to talk to on the phone I did the 23 months at Credit Human. I just did not want to go through all the paperwork to open an account with Homewood Federal Savings bank by the way you would need to wire the money to them they will give you instructions. If you call them talk to Crystal Glass, she is the CD person.

As of 5/16 the best CD rate at Homewood is 5.05% for 15 months (not 5.50%).

fred_b I just talked to them yesterday the rate them was 5.50 I went with Credit Human I have an account there now I am really glad I did .

jbridge Crystal said anyone can join when I talk to her yesterday did you call them, and the rate Tuesday was 5,50 it was on CD Valet that's how I found them. I am just glad I went with Credit Human.

Okay, now it makes sense. CD Valet allows anyone in the US to open CDs they list on the site. I actually called Homewood about a month ago when Carpline posted the 5.50% APY CD in the Forum. I was told at that time only Maryland residents were eligible to open one. I didn't know it was also on CD Valet. Sorry I missed it.

That rate is a thing of the past. I went on Homewood website tonight (5/16) and there is no rate that comes close to that one.
