Once again DA's latest blog entry is.... useless except for a beginner.

"USAA vs Navy Federal -- Which is Right for You?"

For what it's worth, a suggestion:

Perhaps if you're going to compare 2 different places and ask "Which is Right for You?" then at least pick 2 places where each have some better points than the other. From scanning your own tables, Navy beats USAA on everything. Why bother?

USAA has the highest rating on the auto and home insurance.
For years they have been #1.

I agree Ally6770. Both my parents, my siblings, and all our family have USAA auto insurance. When my Dad (WWII vet) recently passed, USAA paid out a $14,000. check to my Mom (surviving spouse) for their accumulated subscriber points. Over a period of decades, at USAA, you accumulate many subscriber points and in December every year, USAA sends you a (refund) check, or a credit to be applied to your annual policy, based on your subscriber points.
Other benefits that I have received in the past from USAA, include a $2,500 discount and a $2,000 discount off the purchase of new vehicles.
About 15 years ago, I was in an auto accident (not my fault and I was not injured) resulting in the cracking/ bent of the undercarriage/frame. USAA immediately totaled my vehicle and paid out my claim.

Absolutely USAA has good insurance, my relatives use them for insurance too, but insurance has nothing to do with deposit accounts or the main DA Blog. DA's blog post compares USAA **BANK's** deposit account offerings to NavyFed's deposit account offerings, but there's no contest, which is why it's so useless except for beginners.

I don't mind a website elsewhere comparing various insurance offerings from different companies, but insurance is not deposit accounts. So as I posted, if DA is going to compare 2 different places asking "Which of these is Right for You?" then they should at least pick ones where each has at least some better points than the other (deposit-account wise).
