Changes To The Depositaccounts Search Tool?

I was just on the site looking at 1 year CD rates (or so I thought having selected that term for a search). First the appearance was different but I see no announcement of changes. Second, more importantly there were CDs all all different terms (shorter than one year) included. Totally not helpful. Is Deposit Accounts falling apart?

Could also be there is an error within DA's website configuration files and they have setup when a web page errors, default to the "Best CD Rates" page. As the CD Rates page and 1 year rates page appear the same this is most likely the case.

Doesn't look like an error, looks like they're trying to give it a new look. But in doing so they threw out some extremely important information that used to be included.

DA Staff - - please put back in the Early Withdrawal Penalty information that was always included in the drop down CD Rates Menu. The exact penalty is next to impossible to find on the bank website and seeing that penalty, whether it be 180 days, 365 days, 760 days, whatever, is immensely valuable.

Another feature lost is the fields filled must be refreshed after every new search. Sometimes I pick my state and dollar amount but scroll through the term to find different options. Depending on how you do the search these fields revert back to the default setting forcing the user to reenter the $ amount and state. Keeping these fields previously entered data allows for easier navigation across differences in the search. Ie changing term but keeping the state and $ amount.

Yes, the transition is rough. Financial institutions have fallen off. The old format was better.

And... for checking (and sometimes savings) accounts

I noticed it this earlier today. It does not seem to be working correctly on the latest desktop  Mac using duckduckgo in private browsing. Hope this gets fixed. I just thought they were working on it but it isn't any better tonight.

They are not including all banks/credit unions. I see they removed Northwest Federal Credit Union, which still offers a 4.85% APY 5 year CD... It is not even listed, and it is the best rate in the 22030 zip code!

I looked at Northwest FCU website, I see 5 yr 4.85% for IRA only. Maybe I'm missing the CD.

Yes, the 4.85% APY it is for the IRA but DA is not listing it under their 5 year IRA ...
