I didnt plan it this way but I have 2 cds that will mature on the Sat of a long holiday weekend. That means the money will be stuck there for 3 days. Will i still get interest for sat sun mon after sat maturity day if I cash it on tuesday instead of renewing? Or would you send it to savings on maturity day to get a few cents or something else.

Some FI's do pay interest during the grace period but I am seeing many that don't pay a nickel of interest during that period of time. I have begun to plan ahead for that by altering my beginning date and/or speaking with a CSR to determine that future date the CD will mature that following Mondays date. Hopefully, you are lucky wherever you have the CD maturing but if not you are sadly SOL.
