eneldar | | 39 posts since 2022I spoke to the branch manager yesterday and was assured I could open an account even though I do not live in the Huntsville area. The only info he said I needed was to tell him where I heard about the offer (Deposit Accounts) and how I would fund the account (check or wire). He then sent me via secure email a "customer information form", which I completed and returned, along with a copy of my driver's license. I received an email stating they were working on getting the account opened and would send account documents for my signature today. Instead of receiving account documents, I received the following response: "Thank you for your interest in opening an account with Nova Bank. Unfortunately, after further guidance we are unable to establish any new accounts outside of our geographical area of Huntsville, AL. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We appreciate your understanding." I just spoke with the branch manager for clarification. He said their compliance team made the decision last night to not accept deposits from outside their geographical area.
