Saw an AD in Texas for their LONE STAR MONEY MARKET paying 4.75%

Something is off here. If you go to their we site, it is almost impossible to figure out their rates, or fees. Historically, they are not a TOP competitive bank. With some effort, I was able to locate some fees via google .... and they are bland.

I noticed that they do not post a TRUTH IN LENDING via their web site. Something is a miss here. I think I will be avoiding this one.

bobert456 I have had a couple of their 6 month CD's dating back to September 2023 and again in March 2024 and they have been a great little bank. They have a branch not far from me in the N Dallas area and I must say their in branch employees are top notch. I also have had their Lone Star MM and the rate has been very competitive so far with no issues. You are correct that they dont seem to advertise their rates much in fact my wife saw their Lone Star MM advertised on Facebook. Not 100% sure but I believe they do that as their rates on the MM accounts differ in certain markets for some reason. They even target some promo rates to existing customers as opposed to new money only promos. All in all I have been quite pleased.

-thanks for that response. I still say that I have never found a web site so hard to find information, rates, disclosures, fees .... may be in order, but not obvious or even easy to find. My reaction may be more of their web site, than the bank.
