5.75% 12-Month / 5.75% 6-Month CD at a Georgia Bank (Patriot Bank)

Patriot Bank of Georgia is offering 5.75% APY 12-month and 6-month certificates of deposit. The minimum is $500. The longer term CDs have a yield of 5.60% APY. The bank doesn't list the rates on its website. A reader mentioned these rates, and I called the bank for more details. According to the service rep, they do require a branch visit to open this CD. I last reported on this bank in November when it was offering a 5.95% CD.

The bank is located in Suwanee, Georgia which is just north of Atlanta. It's a new bank that has been FDIC insured since July, 2006.
