First National Bank is offering a special certificate of deposit with a 6% APY for the first 3 months and a 5.80% APY for the last 12 months. I calculated the blended APY for 15 months to be about 5.84%. The minimum deposit is $10,000. The special isn't listed at the bank's website. It was advertised in the Savannah Morning News. The ad is available online here.
Branches are located in Savannah, Richmond Hill and Pooler, Georgia. The bank has been FDIC insured since 1996.

A customer service rep told me that I would have to show up in person to get the 15-mo 6%/5.8% CD. While I'm sure that they have less snow on the ground than we currently do is SW CT, it doesn't quite seem to be worth the trip. Don
