One World Bank is offering a 5.55% APY 9-month certificate of deposit. The minimum deposit is $10,000. It requires a checking account with a minimum opening deposit of $1,000. They do offer a free checking account.
This bank had been offering this same rate on a jumbo CD with a $100K minimum last week. They must have decided to reduce the minimum. They're also advertising this in the Dallas Morning News. The ad is available online here.
