Up to $200 Checking Account Bonus at a PA/WV/OH Bank (WesBanco)

WesBanco is offering bonuses up to $200 for opening a new checking account and for a few other activities. At least $150 should be able to be earned without much trouble. Here are the steps required to earn $200:
  • $50 for opening the checking account
  • $50 for keeping checking account opened for 12 months
  • $25 for using debit card 10 times within 90 days of account opening
  • $25 for signing up for E-statements
  • $25 for one direct deposit of at least $50 credited to account within 90 days of account opening
  • $25 for signing up for automatic payments on a new loan

The offer ends July 31, 2008. The minimum balance to open an account and recive the bonus is $50. Bonus will be credited to account 28 days after account is opened. Customer must sign up for a debit card to receive account opening bonus.

WesBanco does offer a free checking account which has no minimum balance requirements or monthly fees. Online Bill Pay is free.

I've posted on similar deals from WesBanco last year. The last one was in November 2007. A commenter mentioned in that post that WesBanco does require a branch visit.

Branches are located in Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. The bank is FDIC insured (Certificate # 803).

Coulee Bank ( http://www.couleebank.net ) offers an incredible 6.01% APY with their Rewards Checking account. The rate is easy to earn. All you have to do is make 10 check card transactions a month, use e-statements, and do 1 automatic payment a month (they call it ACH). Coulee Bank pays 6.01% on the first $25,000 and 1.01% on anything above that. The best thing about this account besides the rate is it is FREE, you can apply online, and it is from a great bank with real people that answer the phone. And as they like to say, Banking Green has its Rewards. The Rewards Checking account saves paper and preserves our natural resources. No wonder I feel good about recommending this to everyone I know. Check it out. I guarantee you will love it.
