Feb 12, 2009 - 5:24 PM by Ken Tumin
Associated Credit Union of Texas is advertising a special 3.50% APY 7-month CD. Minimum deposit is $10,000, and new money is required. This special doesn't seem to be listed at the credit union's website. It was advertised in today's Houston Chronicle (1/25/09). The ad is available online here. Other competitive CD rates are listed in the credit union's rate table as of 1/25/09. The most competitive include 3.25% APY 6-month, 3.35% APY 12-month and 3.40% APY 18-month. Jumbo CDs with a $50K minimum offer an extra 10 basis points. The rate table has an effective date of 1/1/2009, so it's likely these will change in February.
