3.00% 13-Month CD at Leominster Credit Union in Massachusetts

Leominster Credit Union is offering a special 13-month certificate with a 3.00% APY. Minimum deposit is $1,000. The special rate is listed in the credit union's rate table as of 3/18/09.

My last post on this credit union was in January when it was offering a 3.75% 7-month CD.

Membership is open to those who live, work, or have business in Worcester, Middlesex, Norfolk, Hampden, Franklin, or Hampshire Counties in Massachusetts. Refer to the credit union's Membership Eligibility Page for the full details. Membership requires maintaining a minimum $25 in a deposit account.

Branches are located in the cities of Leominster, Worcester, Clinton, Holden and Sterling.

The credit union has some decent ratings for soundness: 4 stars (excellent) at BauerFinancial (based on 12/31/08 data) and 3 stars (performing) at Bankrate.com. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 66699).
