Other IRA CD Deals

If you're looking for better CD rates on an IRA, January is a good time. Banks and credit unions often have good deals during this time since people often make their IRA contributions between January and April 15th when you can make a contribution for both the current and previous year.

Two easy-to-join credit unions are still offering 3% IRA CD deals as of 1/23/2010:

I was going to take advantage of this offer, but the timing was tight, and a little inconvenient.  I called to see if was going to be extended again.  The orginal posting said 1/31, and this posting was 2/27.  The CSR had a rather fresh memo that she read to me, and this is being extended to 3/27.
