$100 Checking Account Bonus at Sound Credit Union - Washington State Only

Sound Credit Union is offering a $100 bonus for opening one of its checking accounts and establishing direct deposit of at least $250 per month. This offer is listed in the credit union's checking page as of 1/27/2011. No expiration date is mentioned. Here's the small print of the offer:

A minimum $250 monthly direct deposit to a new primary consumer checking account is required. The $100 incentive is available for new primary consumer checking accounts only and will be deposited 30 days after direct deposit is established. Checking account must meet direct deposit requirement within 90 days of account opening or $100 incentive will not be paid. One incentive paid per member. Must meet qualifying criteria to open checking account. A $25 savings account is required for membership. The $100 incentive will be reported on Form 1099-INT. The $100 incentive cannot be used to open checking account. Limited time offer, eligibility and incentive are subject to change at any time.

Sound's free checking account qualifies for the promotion. It has no monthly service charge or minimum balance requirement. One nice perk is free checks. Another perk is that it allows one free overdraft every year.

Membership Qualifications

Membership is open to anyone who lives or works in Washington State or has a family member who has an account with Sound or who is eligible to join. Please refer to the credit union's Sign-Up Page for the full details. Membership requires a minimum $25 deposit in the savings account.
