Amazon Kindle or $125 Bonus at MidFirst Bank in AZ & OK - Local Only

MidFirst Bank is offering a bonus of either an Amazon Kindle or cash up to $125 for opening a qualifying checking and savings account and for performing certain account activities. Here's the link to the bank's promotions page. The offer is scheduled to end on 3/31/2011.

The requirements to qualify for the bonus include:

  • Open your premium suite of checking and savings products - $50
  • Establish a recurring direct deposit of $250 or more - $25
  • Sign up for eStatements and complete three online payments - $25
  • Complete 25 Visa Check Card signature-based purchases - $25

Beware of Monthly Fees

Premium Suite consists of a combination of any Performance or Signature level checking account and a Performance Savings account or a Titanium Money Market Savings account opened on the same day. The downside of these accounts is monthly fees. The best account choices to avoid fees appear to be the Performance Plus Checking which requires a $2,500 minimum balance to avoid a $7 monthly fee and the Performance Savings which requires a $250 minimum balance to avoid a $2 monthly fee.

For the full promotion details, click the "show disclosure" at the bottom of the promotion page. Credit for this find goes to this iBankDesign thread.

Branch Locations

It appears a branch visit is required to open an account. Branches are located in the Phoenix metro area of Arizona and in several cities of Oklahoma including Yukon, Oklahoma City, Shawnee and Tulsa.
