- 3.30% APY on balances up to $30,000
- 0.75% APY on portion of balance over $30,000
Monthly requirements to qualify for these yields include:
- 10 debit card purchases
- 1 direct deposit or ACH auto debit
- Access account via online banking
Unlike most reward checking, this account has a $20 monthly fee if a $1,000 minimum balance is not met.
The bank has also offered some good CD deals. The latest one is a 18-month CD with a 1.40% APY as of 4/14/2011. Minimum deposit is $10,000. The best one is still at Commercial Bank and Trust which offers 4.09% APY on up to $25K as of 4/14/2011. However, this bank doesn't have a branch in the Nashville metro area. First State Bank has a reward checking account with a 4.01% APY (as of 4/14/2011) but this is now limited to balances up to $15K. The account can be opened online by only Tennessee residents.
For nationally available reward checking accounts, Danversbank is now the only one to offer at least a 3 percent yield for balances up to $25K (3.01% APY as of 4/14/2011).
