How These Checking Rates Compare
There's one credit union open to Kansas residents which currently has a better rate. It's at Communications Federal Credit Union which has a reward checking account paying 4.00% APY for balances up to $30K. It's available to all OK and KS residents (see review).
These Kansas rates are much higher what many other people in other states can get. If you're not in a state like Kansas, your only option for a reward checking account may be one of the nationally available reward checking accounts. The best rate for those is only 2.52% APY for balances up to $25K.
