MIDFLORIDA Credit Union is offering a $77 cash bonus for opening one of its checking accounts. Direct deposit with a minimum of $500 is required to qualify for the bonus. This is a limited-time offer. Details are listed in this credit union promo page as of 3/8/2012. Below is the small print of the offer:
A $5 minimum savings account is required for membership with MIDFLORIDA. Credit approval required. Offer valid as of November 1, 2011 and may be cancelled without notice. To qualify for the $77 incentive, you must open a checking account of any type except Freedom Banking. Deposit requirements vary by checking account type. Anyone who has held a checking account with MIDFLORIDA in the past will not qualify for the $77 incentive. To get $77 incentive you must sign up for direct deposit (minimum $500) which must post to account within 30 days of account opening for all accounts except RT4T. RT4T accounts will require five transactions (deposits/withdrawals,etc.) within 30 days to qualify for incentive. $77 will be deposited to account once account requirements are met. Free photo debit card not available with new Freedom Banking accounts.
The Free Checking Account qualifies for this incentive. There is a $2 monthly fee if you choose paper statements instead of e-statements. Also, the credit union requires that you maintain a $100 balance in the savings account to avoid a $5 monthly fee.
