California today (May 9) filed suit accusing JP Morgan-Chase alleging fraudulent, illegal and abusive debt collection practices against credit card holders spanning at least the past three years:

The lawsuit cites what it calls illegal robo-signing, "sewer service" litigation, failure to even notify credit card holders that they were being sued and getting default judgments and garnishing wages accordingly.

“This enforcement action seeks to hold Chase accountable for systematically using illegal tactics to flood California’s courts with specious lawsuits against consumers," California Attorney General Kamala Harris said.

Good move; I do hate Chase for their often ruthless behavior toward their customers.
