Credit Card Customer Service

Posted by: Amyp | Jan 22, 2016

It's nice to call and actually speak with a person, rather than a frustration automated system. American City Bank's service is priceless not to mention the Credit Card's terrific RATE. Everyone has been so kind and helpful - Thanks from making my balance transfer effortless.

Great Deposit Services And People

Posted by: Chad0721 | Jan 22, 2016

Recently moved from a larger city in Tennessee to a smaller town located in Tullahoma, TN. After discussing community banks with people involved within the local community, consensus was American City Bank was a great place to start a banking relationship. Currently have multiple deposit accounts (personal and business) with American City Bank. Great service, people and welcoming atmosphere. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Deposit Accounts Safe With American City Bank

Posted by: neals | Jan 22, 2016

Recently I fell victim to identity theft; however, before I was able to contact my Bank (American City Bank), an employee from the Bank's Operations Department called me to verify an unusual online banking transfer between my savings and checking. I told them I did not authorize it and they immediately suspended the activity. They also facilitated new accounts for me that I could place my funds in safely while closing the accounts that had been compromised. The service I received was superior to any that I've experienced in my many years of having a banking relationship with numerous banks. Thank you to everyone involved at American City Bank!

Excellent Customer Service

I have banked with a "big" bank for years and can happily say I have a very healthy account. A few months ago, I was paid off on an owner financed property and received a very large deposit into my "big" bank. I have never really been a debit card/check writing person and just decided I wanted the cash. So, I called the bank and requested to withdraw the money and what day would be best (I knew they would have to plan ahead for this withdraw.) Well to make a long story short, they gave me the run around on getting the cash. It was my money, the money has cleared for over a month, and they would not release the funds to me. It just so happened that my wife and I moved to the Decherd area and met a very nice young man who asked me for my business. So, since it was closer to home, I opened an account. Since my "big" bank would not give me my money (after traveling 45 minutes) I got a cashier's check and stopped in the American City Bank Manchester Office to deposit the check. I deposited the check (I knew there would be a hold) and told them after the hold I wanted the cash. They were so friendly and nice to me. They did not treat me like I was doing anything bad or wrong by wanting MY money. The manager set a time and date to withdraw the funds and explained the process on counting the money. (I was really impressed by the extra precaution and general concern for our safety with that much cash.) Once the transaction was complete I felt like American City Bank really went out of their way for me. My "big" bank who had known me for years would not give me my money and were frankly rude about it. From the beginning in two separate locations American City Bank treated my wife and I with respect and kindness. I highly recommend this bank to everyone!

Bank Fees Unfair

Posted by: mechanic2l | Sep 5, 2012

I went to American City Bank in Tullahoma TN today to cash a check drawn on that bank.  I was told that it would be a five dollar fee for cashing a check since I dont have an account there.  Is this really how banks are going about making thier money these days, charging a fee for checks drawn on thier bank.  I dont believe this is a fair practice, its either pay the fee or they would be happy to open an account for you.  Seems too me that the bank makes money from the customer that wrote the check to me, (big new car dealer in town), and this is just a way to make extra money or get another account opened.
