This is my favorite bank. The American Eagle Federal Credit Union. This is know by the local residents as Pratt and Whitney Credit Union but it has expanded over the years and allowed many people to join. I have done my banking there for years and they have great tellers who are very sharp and fast. The on line web site is state of the art and far exceeds some more famous on line banks. I can go online and do internal or external transfers very easily.
I have a no fee checking account with them and they gave me a savings account automatically when I signed up for checking. Strange thing it has the same account number, but that's how they do it.
This is a bank that when you call in with a problem they fix it. Several times they refunded my bounce fee due to our long-standing relationship.
Also I got locked out of my on line account and called in and they fixed it very fast without making me feel foolish.
Great credit union if you live on the east coast.
I have had nothing but a positive experience when working with American Eagle Federal Credit Union. Anyone in their organization that I have encountered has acted with great professionalism and friendliness. I used American Eagle to finance a car loan. Their rates were very competitive with car dealerships and other local banks. The car dealership wouldn't even meet the rate that American Eagle gave us. I ultimately decided to go with American Eagle because of the low rate and good interest rates on opening an account with them. The application process was extremely easy. The banker I worked with explained everything I was filling out and made everything I did effortless. She even gave me information on saving and retirement accounts for the future. I was very happy with the customer service. I even received a follow-up phone call from a higher up the next day to check in with my satisfaction. Paying my car loan each month is simple. I set up my account for automatic payments and I do my banking and any money transfers on their website which is easy to use. I would really recommend this Credit Union to anyone looking for a great bank with great rates. I was surprised how happy I was with their service.
I have had very great experience with American Eagle Financial Credit Union. There are many convenient locations that I can travel to in my area to make deposits or withdraw cash. Additionally, there is a well-functioning mobile app where I am able to check my balances, deposit checks remotely, view my loans, and make transfers. Being able to deposit checks remotely is very nice so that I do not have to travel to the actual locations. The app also shows you where you can find ATMS around you that will not charge a fee, so this is an extremely helpful feature to keep costs down in that regard. There are also coin counters in many of the locations where you can deposit loose change.
Well let's see... until you try to use the chargeback service they claim to provide, you won't realize how much they couldn't care less in assisting a valid dispute where I ordered 4 chairs online from LOWES.com and only received 2 chairs. I have been trying to resolve with LOWES and now with the AE FCU Visa Chargeback services since July 1 (almost 2 months ago) they keep closing the issue saying, we never received any documentation (well I faxed it 2x and snail Mailed 1x), or now the issue is that too much time has gone by... NO KIDDING? WHOSE FAULT IS THAT? I've been calling every week for a status... Can't speak to the group that actually handles the issue.
