My first checking account when I was in high school was with Capital Credit Union. It was a good experience for a first account. You feel like an individual while working with them. They know you by name and are willing to listen to your situation one on one. If you encountered financial troubles they have no problem helping and trying to figure out what is needed to get you back on the road to financial security. The only reason I moved on from them other than being young and dumb was that I moved to a larger city and it would have been a hassle to keep my account in the smaller town 200 miles away. All in all it was a good experience.
I have been very satisfied with my experience with the local branch of Capital Credit Union. I like the personalized feel that I get here. The staff knows me and usually greet me by name when I come in. Whether I call or visit in person they are very willing to help me with what I need. The website and mobile app work well. The one time I had a problem with having forgotten my password and talked with a representative using online chat she was very helpful and we were able to quickly resolve my problem. I would highly recommend this credit union to anyone looking at the different local banks and credit union in this area.
