I decided after a recommendation from a close work colleague to do business with BAC Florida Bank a few years back. I've never had a problem with their timely and professional customer service, and I would strongly recommend them to a friend. One story in particular that stands out in my mind is when I had a whole mess of bills all go through at once and this caused an overdraft of my account. I started seeing the overdraft fees popping up and with each transaction, a new overdraft fee would follow. I immediately transferred money into the checking account and spoke with one of their representatives. Unlike other banks, because these guys are awesome, they said they understood the issue, and did not want to lose me as a customer, so they refunded all but one of the fees! I couldn't have been more happier at the time, and I couldn't be happier with them now. Great company.
Being new to having a savings account I decided to bank with BAC Florida. A few family members already used that bank, while there were a few local branches in the neighborhood. So after such positive reviews I opened an account which was a very hassle free experience. I was treated with respect since I walked through the door, while greeted by a friendly professional banker. She explained to me how much I needed as a minimum deposit. For only $100, I.D. and social security card I was the new owner of a savings account. I had never opened a savings account before because I was scared of paying fees if I ever needed to spend the money and my balance reached zero. To my surprise the banker at BAC Florida assured me there was no minimum deposit requirements. Plus I could bank online and from my phone. I can honestly say I would give them two thumbs up for going above and beyond to help first-time account holders like myself.
I trusted some money due to highest APY with reasonably respected bank. But, try to add an account or do anything on their website and it must have 20yo programmers. I have to call each time. If i send a message, i get a response in broken English which questions professionalism in my opinion. The answer from Cust. Serv was something like, "you cannot add from that site/address....that's only for looking at accounts..." I WAS LOGGED IN AND COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ...I HAD TO RETURN TO "X"!!!???
