First National Bank Texas (FNBT) was originally founded in 1901 in Killeen, Texas as the First National Bank of Killeen. Today, the bank serves its customers at over 300 locations throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona.

First National Bank Texas offers a variety of personal depository banking products, including checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, and Certificates of Deposit (CDs). The bank provides both interest and non-interest-bearing checking accounts, including accounts specifically for students or active/retired military personnel, as well as interest-bearing checking accounts with a better interest rate for large balances. First National Bank Texas’s savings and money market accounts also offer higher interest rates for higher account balances. As for CDs, the bank offers both fixed rate and variable rate products, with fixed rate terms ranging from three months to five years. The variable rate CDs can be increased through “add-on” payments at any time.

FNBT offers its personal banking customers access to the following features: direct deposit, online banking, electronic statements, funds transfers, customizable alerts, bill pay, and mobile banking.

Business banking products are also offered, including business checking accounts and business money market accounts. The commercial checking accounts vary based upon business size and transaction volume, with a special option for non-profit organizations and an interest-bearing checking account for businesses that can maintain a certain minimum account balance. Commercial money market accounts offer tiered interest rates, depending upon account balance. First National Bank Texas also provides business customers access to online banking, mobile banking, electronic statements, funds transfers, customizable alerts, and bill pay.

I would strongly recommend that.Anyone who opens up a new account with this bank specifically ask if they are being offered a traditional savings account or if they are automatically being signed up for a stash savings account. The bank will not tell you anything about they are signing you up for the power stash savings account which comes with a five dollar monthly fee plus extra fees if you have a negative balance. Also on may the twenty third twenty twenty four I scheduled a transfer of twenty dollars from my Stash savings account that was supposed to transfer at midnight to my checking account but yet it never did. This bank will rip you off every way they can. Run away, don't walk, run.

Worst Bank Ever

There's nowhere to begin but to tell y'all do not put your money in this Bank I've been banking with them for two and a half years now and recently my debit card was compromised so I had to order a new one now my direct deposit is not going into my account it's not even going to that bank so if you know like I know this is the worst bank ever and don't put your money in in this Bank because you will get ripped off and customer service sucks the branch manager has a bad attitude she needs to be fired

Bank Teller tracked me down in Walmart while I was shopping and Asked me to Open a Bank account!... Really??? She seemed SO NICE!!! I thought she was a fraud posing to be a worker of the bank... turns out, she's legit... So, I opened an account... thought everything was fine...

I had no cash to deposit that day and asked the worker if that's okay? She said that's fine and I have 30 days to deposit money or else I will be charged a fee... I'm like, okay, my direct deposit will kick in before 30 days, so I'm good.

After 2 direct deposits of just a very small % of my check), I later noticed a $12 Maintenance fee... I thought maybe the bank teller misinformed me with the 30-day limitation on the $0 balance; so, I did not contact the bank about it... The next month "TODAY" March 27th, 2024 (after 3 deposits), I noticed another $12 Maintenance fee... I'm like what thah what???... I KNEW then that I'm being charged a monthly fee for just having the account opened... I'm like WOW!!! Really?? I wish I had known this was NOT a Free Checking account... I thought for SURE I had asked the bank teller up front if it was free checking or not. And I thought she told me it's free checking... I guess she was so focused on a commssion and getting me to sign up!!!

So, I searched online today and found more horrible news about this bank that of course they PURPOSELY "HIDE" from you! There IS most DEFINITELY a CATCH to this horrible bank!

They charge you a $12 maintenance fee EACH month! AND... if you CLOSE your account in the first 90 days... how about they charge you a $25 fee.. What thah what???...

Here is the breakdown of my calculations...

Jan 24th (Balance: $0.00) Opened my account
Feb 14th (Balance: $57.81) 1st deposit of $57.81
Feb 24th (Balance: $45.81) $12 Maintenance Fee
Feb 28th (Balance: $86.83) 2nd deposit of $41.02
Mar 14th (Balance: $144.64) 3rd deposit of $57.81
Mar 24th (Balance: $132.64) $12 Maintenance Fee

I IMMEDIATELY contacted my job's payroll department and REMOVED thank bank from my direct deposit. There was ABOUT to be another deposit in 2 days... Hecks Naw!!! I'm closing that account TODAY or TOMORROW!!! Pronto!!!

IF I keep my account opened another month, that will be $12 x 3 = $48.

I'm going to close my account ASAP; so, that will be $12 x 2 = $24 + $25 = $49

Either way, I'm JACKED for $50 for having this bank account opened for only 2 months of use! WOW!!!

You all be blessed!!!

I recently had my debit card stolen, & over $400 dollars was taken from my account. My family missed Christmas, my car got cut off & im on the verge of losing my job. This bank has been everything but helpful in this situation. I’ve been on hold for over 4hrs. Every supervisor is rude & entitled. I tried to close my back account & they told me i couldn’t. This is the absolute worst banking system i ever experienced. My holiday spirit is all the ruined
