Pioneer FCU's (ID) Adds 37-Month CD Special
For nearly five years, Pioneer Federal Credit Union (PFCU) has been offering CD Specials with competitive rates. PFCU's current CD Specials are a 37-month (2.70% APY) and 19-month (2.25% APY), with the 37-month having the more competitive APY. While the PFCU Rates page lists two deposit levels, $500 and $10k, the APY is the same for either.
Both CD Specials are also available as IRAs (Traditional, Roth, CESA) earning the same APYs, with the same funding requirements.
In a Live Chat, CSR stated the Early Withdrawal Penalty for either CD Special is "all dividends that have been earned up to 180 days."

Chartered in 1954, Pioneer Federal Credit Union was originally known as the Civilian Employees Federal Credit Union, but the name was soon changed to Mountain Home Air Force Base Federal Credit Union to better represent the membership. As further FOM expansion included more community members, a new name was needed that accurately described the community. "Pioneer" was chosen, as Mountain Home was originally the Post Office at Rattlesnake Station, a stagecoach stop on the Overland Stage Line. Today, PFCU is Idaho’s fifth largest credit union, serving more than 53,600 members and holding assets in excess of $452 million.
