Extremely Horrible Customer Service And Very Hard To deal With
I have a loan for a car from golden plains credit union and I have had nothing but trouble with them. Between them waiting forever to cash my payment and overdrawing my account to taking months to prove I have insurance on my vehicle. I am currently trying to solve that situation once again because we found better insurance provider and they have tacked on their insurance and want me to pay for the months that they couldn't see that I had insurance all that time. I can't even fully buy my car without having to pay for all that interest. I would have bought it out during last years tax season but come to find out I couldn't because I had to pay for the interest. Thanks to this company I may be ruining my credit by getting rid of the car and the loan altogether. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had loans with them for years then while moving asked about a new loan due to moving and they said it should be "no problem" and even pre approved us before we went house shopping. Then after accepting a contract and selling our home told us there was a mistake in the system and they couldn't give us the loan leaving us scrambling to find a loan at another bank with little time. We almost lost our new home and had already sold our old one. We won't do any further business with GPCU.
This Credit Union in my opinion has poor customer service they are hard to deal with, management is absolutely no help, I wish I had never used them for a loan.
I would steer clear and use other banks or credit unions.
BTW I have made all my payments on time.
I've been a customer with Golden Plains Credit Union since September of 2010. I first became interested in GPCU because I'm a resident in central Kansas and because they have one of the best interest rates (4.44% as of this writing) in the country for rewards checking accounts. The set up was easy, although I did have to submit some information by mail and send in a check for my deposit as they didn't have an ACH bank funding method at the time. They were great to answer any questions I had and I was able to easily get a customer representative on the phone. Overall it's been a great experience and I'm very satisfied with them.
