The worst bank I've ever had the misfortune of doing business with. They cards don't work in the ATM half the time, even in their own ATM, so I can't access my money. They don't support Apple of Android Pay even though they've been promising it for like 3 years. Their support staff is rude and unhelpful, they get offended when I say I have a problem and hang up on me instead of helping. Never dealt with a worse bank ever.
This was my first ever bank when I started working in the dinosaur age. I have never left this bank for another. I have my savings, checking, and home equity (for tuition of children) accounts housed here. The tellers and administrators are all on a first name basis with me and really care about my financial well being. I would like to say that they are willing to help with problems but there are no problems that have occurred. Interest rates on savings are competitive, check fees are non-existent, new products are introduced and explained if tellers think these products would work for my household.
Recently a teller discovered that my deceased mother's name (that happens to be the same as one of my children's name) was popping up when said child was opening an account. Promptly, we resolved the problem and I was grateful that the teller caught the error. This is a local bank with branches throughout the state but they are my bank and deserve my thanks for having full trust in this institution.
First, as has always been a problem with liberty, is their god awful hours. The two banks in town close around 4-5 every weekday. So good luck getting there if you have a job with the hours that a normal citizen of Connecticut works. The only time I can get there is Saturday morning from 9-12. That's just what I love to do on Saturday morning, wake up early to make sure I can get to the bank. Secondly, and my main concern right now, is their atrocious online banking and mobile application. Concerning this, these two functions were introduced to liberty far to late (well after many banks began trending towards online banking and mobile apps). Also, my application suddenly stopped working for no reason. Every time I log on to my account it says there are no bank accounts linked with it, so its useless. On top of this I am unable to log on to the banks website because its saying my password and username don't match, even though they are the same username and password I use to log onto my mobile app. Right now, I am trying to get an online bank statement to send to another bank to be approved for a potential loan. But due to liberty's in ability to function the way an efficient bank does I am not able to do this. Thanks for the ineptitude.
Liberty Bank is a great local establishment. There are lots of branches nearby. The most excellent feature for me is that I am able to link my checking and savings accounts to avoid over draft fees. When I started online banking, the customer service was great in helping me understand the features on the website. An agent answers right away to help with any problems. The bank does offer a lot of options, and the best thing is that they refund any ATM fees from any bank. The fees are refunded every month, so even though it is a local bank, I am not penalized when accessing my money from a different banks ATM. This a good choice of banks because the staff is knowledgeable and it is one of the top workplaces in the area rated by the local newspaper.hat they refund any ATM fees from any bank.
I have been a long-time customer; but, recently this group has become incredibly greedy. They will do anything legally possible to hold onto deposited funds without releasing them for as long as they possibly can. Making a few extra dollars on float is apparently more important to them than satisfying the needs of 20+ year customers. Unless you're a fat cat, they have absolutely no desire to be the least bit helpful. Too bad they've traded in the integrity and quality customer service they once prided themselves on.
Actually a really good bank no deposit minimum for a basic checking account and if you over draft only get hit with one fee of 30 and no succesive fees. Also gave me 100 bonus after 6 months.
