Overall good one stop shop for all your needs.
I do wish their simple checking account
(that does not require using a debit card so many times a month) got a better interest rate.
But a lot of credit unions are falling short in that area.
CD rates are okay. But should be better.
Occasionally, their employees are not fully knowledgeable (e.g. could use more training) about their subject.
But I believe that's a problem at all financial institutions.
They are one of only a few credit unions in the country to have a year-end dividend.

I started my relationship via an auto loan, then shortly I opened a checking and a savings account. A month later they gave me what no other bank would and that was a credit limit that beyond my wildest dreams. I have had nothing but great experiences with Wright-Patt I'm so happy I decided to leave PNC Bank.
I have had a few mishaps with my account but they are always able to sit down with me and resolve the issue right there. They follow the chain and figure out the confusion. When applying for new loans as well the process is very quick and easy with little wait time for the answer.
I have been a part of Wright Patt for many years now. It's a great institution and they have always given me good service. I have both a checking and savings account with them. I like that they give me the option to auto pull from savings if checking funds are short, but there is really good fraud protection. They always call me if they see a charge that seems wrong and I have never had any issues with the organization at all. Their site is nice and simple and I use the app daily.
I've opened a few bank accounts over the years and the last bank I signed up with happened to be with a credit union. I signed up for a Checking and Savings account and the process was like any other I've experienced the only thing I would say is while I was with the banking officer in her office the atmosphere seemed more "tech savvy" than from other banks Ive seen for example while signing all the paperwork it was displayed on a flat screen on the wall so it was easier to see and thats something I've never seen anywhere else. Another example when I was depositing a check through the drive through there was a small screen so I could actually see who I was talking to which again is something Ive never seen before and was quite impressed. I havent used my accounts in a while but when I was I was always satisfied and never had any issues.
I have always enjoyed being a member of Wright-Pratt Credit Union. Even though I moved to Cincinnati, they still have branches here. I like that they have always been fast and reliable when I go to ask them anything about my account. Their fraud protection is amazing and they always catch any strange transactions. I get a nice amount of money for having a certain amount in my savings all year and they offer a lot of good things. I would definitely recommend them.
Wright Patt Credit Union really is the best banking experience around my area. You really can tell that they are a member owned organization and not a large coporate bank. Everything they do and offer is centered around the customer and providing they the most rewarding and csot savings experience. the free checking account is really free, with no hidden fees. they dont charge you to use another banks atm's and they offer great interest rates in their savings accounts. i could not reccomend WPCU enough!
Wright Patt Credit Union is more than a bank and credit union. They make sure to personalize their service to their customers on multiple levels. From knowing your name when you walk in the door to helping you decide the best savings plan for you, WPCU really is there to help. For me personally, WPCU staff has guided me to the path of financial stability by helping me plan out debt relief, save for the future, choose the best form of checking, and choose the best form of account protection. They are always very cheerful and helpful whether you go to the bank in person or call on the phone. Recently, they took the time to redo their online banking site to make it much more user friendly and it is a great tool!
I've had an account with Wright-Patt since high school, I love everything they do for their customers and for the area around them. I don't usually wait in lines long when I go to the actual branch, although I do most of my banking online or via the app. Any issues I've had were resolved quickly and didn't cause any major issues in my life. I plan to keep banking here as long as I can. With a potential move coming, I'm not sure if there will be any branches near me anymore. I hope the next credit union I find is a great as this one. As you can tell, I'm really happy with everything Wright Patt has done for me. When I lock myself out of my account, the service reps are always helpful and quick. I've actually suggested this bank to several friends and they are happy with the service as well.
I was pleased to sign up for savings account with Wright-Patt Credit Union because they have a program that gives a high-interest return on the first $500 of savings deposited in the account, and maintained. I also signed up for a service that deposits the change on a store purchase into another savings account. I have accumulated around $40 in this account just over the past three months. It is nice to see the small change add up. The only feature I do not like on these accounts is the online prompts to add mobile banking to my account. I cannot turn the prompt off. When I go to the credit union with a paper check I like that I can also just hand the teller my debit card to make my deposit. I don't have to waste time filling out a slip.
I've had nothing but positive interactions with Wright-Patt Credit Union. The app takes care of most of my needs, but there are a number of locations that are very convenient and are open on the Saturday. My favorite feature is the 3% savings rate (up to $500) -- that rate is unheard of for a standard savings account. Easy bill-pay, and ATMs that accept cash - I rarely need to use a teller. That is a good thing since the institution is popular and the line can get long. The first checks were sent at no charge, and they should last a long time. The fees are clearly laid out and was reviewed thoroughly upon opening the account. They offer seminars and community education classes about finances which is great to get involved with. I highly recommend this company and for both the products and service to the area.
WPCU has been my bank for over five years and they've always had excellent customer service. I've had to call about loss of card, non-receipt of items paid for and account information; every situation I've encountered has been resolved in my favor. For example, the security at WPCU is on-point because as soon as I ordered two-thousand dollars worth of computer parts for myself; I received a phone call from a live person within minutes asking if my check card had been stolen and after answering several security questions I was free to use my account again. The website has always been online whenever I've wanted to check my balance. Wright Patt gives all it's members a percentage of the profits it makes each year and deposits it directly into their savings account. Overall, it's been my favorite credit union experience so far.
Wright-Patt Credit Union has a few great things going for it: It has a great rate of 3% interest on savings accounts for the first $500. It also has a very good, yet simplistic layout on its web banking interface. It is full-color and enjoyable to use. However, customer service can be improved upon a lot. No one is rude from this credit union, but during phone calls you can easily be on hold eight minutes just to be put through the right person to speak to for your specific banking concern. In addition, waiting time in the bank's line often takes too long. This credit union needs more employees. It just doesn't seem efficient in this way.
I have been a member of Wright Patt Credit Union (WPCU) for over a year now and my experiences with them has been great! Their customer service is great and they are always willing to talk about your accounts and help you find the right loan/credit card for you. They have many locations in the greater Dayton, Ohio region and have very convenient hours. I work daily and while most banks are closed by the time I am off work, WPCU is open until 7PM! They also have an excellent mobile app! I can use the app to deposit a check by taking a picture of it! It is the friendly service and great banking practices that keep me around and will keep me with WPCU!
Wright-Patt Credit Union is a great place to bank if you are oriented towards saving money. They have a program that pays about 3% interest a year (variable) on the first $500 in your savings account. They also offer a low-interest credit card. My one complaint about them is that it is sometimes hard to get access to a rep over the phone. When I tried calling about getting a VA loan, there was no one to answer the phone. I wanted a live rep but was left to an answering machine. Wright-Patt has a great array of banking products. It could even be your one-stop shop for investing and insurance. I, however, do my banking there because credit unions rarely get taken over by conglomorates, and it really feels like a hometown bank.
This is my first experience with a credit union and also my last. It's my last because I love this Credit Union. You would have to actually pay me to even consider leaving. They are local, have several locations in and around my city. They care about our community and take an active approach in helping their customers. Someone of my income bracket might have a hard time maintaining an open account in a large bank. Here, they don't make you have a daily balance, they don't force you to have direct deposit. They have several different loan types, one being their signature "Stretch Pay", which helps build your credit and can help in a financial time of need.
My only gripe with this bank is their mobile platform is not available on several types of platforms for mobile. If you don't have an iPhone or android you are kind of stuck out of the loop.
