I've had checking & savings accounts with this bank as well as a car loan for many years. They are very friendly and easy to work with. While I still had the car loan I did open a new checking account with a bank local to me after I moved and I paid utilizing that bank's online bill pay. I received a letter from Service 1st that my payment was never received yet it had cleared from my new bank. I did contact both my new bank and Service 1st and after going back and forth with them both I finally had someone from Service 1st admit that they did receive the payment and it just wasn't properly applied. They thoroughly apologized and removed all negative notes from my account. I am not living close to Service 1st any longer but I wish I did because I would like to utilize them for all of my banking needs.
We have been members of this credit union for many many years. It is a local credit union with a few branches in my area. I have done telephone banking in the beginning but now that online banking is available I use that. I am able to transfer money between my savings and checking and even to outside institutions. I love the fact that I am able to make a mobile deposit right from the comfort of my home with my smartphone. Customer service is great. I have had unauthorized charges and they were taken care of promptly without issues. I never had any issues with direct deposits and they have a great overdraft protection for my situation. Great bank with friendly tellers. The rates and fees are good as well. I would recommend joining Service 1st for a beneficial credit union experience.
My husband and myself have been a member of Service 1st FCU for probably close to 15 years. I have always had positive experiences on telephone banking, online banking, and through the branch. They are great with customer service. There were a couple instances over the years were there were fraudulent charges on my account and they handled that better then expected. As technology advances I love that i can do mobile deposits. They offer many options from home loans to car loans to credit cards and CDs. Their fees are very reasonable and I am able to have no concerns if I overdraw on my account, they will take the money from my savings and all is good and if there is no money there they cover it. I love the feel of a small bank that offers a lot and Service 1st is definitely that bank. I intend on staying with this bank as long as I can. It seems so many local banks change hands and customers are left to basically start over again. I do not see this happening here at my credit union.
