Availability: Market area is primarily Southern California

Over the weekend, Southern California’s US Metro Bank began advertising their 12-month CD Special (1.20% APY) and Jumbo Money Market (1.09% APY).

The 12-month CD Special requires a minimum deposit of $100K, with no balance cap. This is a limited-time offering, but no specific end-date has been stated. Earned interest can either accumulate in the CD or be paid out on a monthly basis. According to a very helpful CSR, the Early Withdrawal Penalty is one month’s interest.

The Jumbo Money Market currently earns 1.09% APY on balances of $100K+; balances below $100K earn 0.83% APY.

Many thanks to the DA reader who emailed me with this deal.
