7.00% 6-Month CD at a California CU - $7.5K Max (Tracy)


Tracy Federal Credit Union has a new-member special certificate with a yield of 7.00% APY and a term of 6 months. The minimum deposit is $1,000, and the maximum is $5,000. The maximum can be increased to $7,500 with active checking account and direct deposit of net check.

With a $5,000 deposit, you'll earn about $75 more than a 4% CD over the 6 months. With a $7,500 deposit, you'll earn about $112 more.

Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Tracy, California. Please refer to the credit union's About Page for more details. Membership requires a $5 fee and a minimum balance of $25 in the share savings account.

The credit union has two branches in Tracy. It is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 16377).

The credit union's crummy website doesn't inspire much confidence in the soundness of their organization. Even most of the tiniest banks in places like North Dakota have more professional looking sites!
