VirtualBank, Corus Bank CD Rates Up Slightly


VirtualBank increased the rates on most of its CDs today by 0.05% to 0.10%. The 1-year CD now pays 5.45% APY, the 6-month pays 5.30% APY. Only the 3-month rate remained the same at 5.02% APY (it was changed 2 weeks ago). The last change made to the other terms was on May 9th. VirtualBank's savings account remains at 4.60% (hasn't changed since February 15th). Below are the full list of CD rates and the changes:

Corus Bank CDs

A few times this year, VirtualBank has raised 6-month and 12-month CD rates past those of Corus Bank. They came close today, but Corus did a slight 0.03% increase on both CDs to come out ahead again. The new Corus rates are 5.33% APY for the 6-month CD and 5.48% APY for the 12-month. Their money market account dropped by 0.01% to 4.81% APY.
