Rivermark Com Credit Union Adds Savings Account w/Rate Guarantee
Oregon-based Rivermark Community Credit Union (Rivermark CCU) is currently offering a New Member Savings Account (NMSA) earning 5.00% APY on balances up to $100k. As stated on the Truth-in-Savings disclosure, “The total portion of your balance over $100,000 will earn 0.05%.” The 5.00% APY is guaranteed for 15 months following account opening, after which the NMSA will convert into a “You Name It Savings Account,” which is a variable rate account currently earning 0.05% APY.

There is a limit of one NMSA per member (18 years or older) and must be opened within 30 days of the new membership being established. The NMSA has no minimum opening deposit and no monthly service fees.
New Member Savings Account Details
The following information is from the Rivermark CCU website and a conversation with CSR.
- Can be funded by ACH, wire ($8 fee), or check.
- Can be opened as individual account only.
- Interest is compounded and credited monthly.
- There is an ATM card associated with the NMSA, but has a $500 daily withdrawal limit.
- Participates in the CO-OP ATM Network, but not the Shared Branch Network.
- Five free non-Rivermark (non-CO-OP) ATM transactions per month. $1.50 fee for each transaction over the monthly five allowed.
- There is no limit on the number of withdrawals per month, but withdrawals made through Rivermark CCU online banking platform are limited to $3.5k per day and $10k per rolling 30-days.
- ACH deposits and withdrawals initiated from an external financial institution are allowed, with no dollar amount limits. There is no limit to the number of external financial institutions that can be linked. Hold time on incoming ACH deposits are 1-2 business days.
- ChexSystems report will be run when opening a membership.
Availability
Headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon, Rivermark Community Credit Union’s field of membership (FOM) is community-based, with U.S. citizens/resident aliens with a valid Social Security number who live or work anywhere in Washington State or in the Oregon counties of Clackamas, Gilliam, Hood River, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Sherman, Wasco, Washington, Wheeler, and Yamhill eligible for membership.
Immediate family and household members of existing members or of anyone eligible to join Rivermark CCU also qualify for membership. In the case, “immediate family” is defined as “spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also included are half-siblings, step-siblings, step-parents, and step-grandparents.”
Account Opening
Joining Rivermark CCU and/or opening a New Member Savings Account can be done online or at any of twelve full-service Oregon branches located in Beaverton (4), Gresham, Happy Valley, Maupin, Newberg, Portland (2), The Dalles, and Tualatin. Rivermark CCU also has a single full-service branch in Vancouver, Washington, located on W. Fourth Plain Blvd. Appointments are available and can be scheduled online.
The first step in becoming a member is opening a Regular Shares savings account. Opening a Regular Shares Account requires a $5 minimum deposit.
