West Texas Credit Union is offering a special 5.50% APY 1 year certificate of deposit. The minimum deposit is $1,000. The rate on longer term CDs is also competitive with a yield of 5.40% APY.
Membership is open to those who live or work in El Paso County, Texas. Membership requires a $5 fee and a minimum deposit of $15 into the share savings account.
The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 60711). It has $71.3 million in deposits and 20,744 members.
