5.52% 12-Month / 5.55% 60-Month CD at a Washington State CU - $100K Min (BECU)

BECU has bumped up the rates on its certificates of deposit. The top 12-month yield is 5.52% APY for a Jumbo $100K minimum CD. A yield of 5.42% APY is available with a $50K minimum, and a yield of 5.31% APY is available with a $500 minimum. BECU also has some competitive long term Jumbo rates including 5.55% APY for the 60-month term and 5.50% APY for the 48-month term. Lower rates are available with smaller minimums.

My last report on BECU was in October when it first came out with its 7.50% savings and checking account (7.50% applies only to the first $500).

Membership is open to those who live, work, worship or attend school in any Washington state school district. The Select Employee Group includes Boeing and its susidiaries or affiliates. Please refer to their Eligibility page for more details. A minimum deposit of $5 into the savings account is required for membership.

Branches are located through out Washington State including the cities of Seattle, Everett, Olympia, Redmond and Tacoma. BECU is one of the largest credit unions in the nation with $7.6 billion in assets and 505,531 members. It's federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 62604).

Thanks to the reader Dan who mentioned these CDs in the finding deals post.
