SeaComm Federal Credit Union has some competitive rates on share certificates. The high rates range from 5.36% APY on a 5-year term to 5.20% APY on an 18-month term. The minimum deposit is $1,000. The same rates are also availble in IRA certificates. The rate table has an October date, so I called and verified that these rates are still in effect.

Membership is open to those who live, work, worship or attend school anywhere in St. Lawrence County or in one of several municipalities of Franklin County. Please refer to their membership page for the full details. Membership requires a minimum deposit of $5 into a regular share savings account.
