4.50% 5-Year CD and Other High CD Rates at Resource One Credit Union in Texas

POSTED ON BY

Resource One Credit Union
Resource One Credit Union has several competitive CD rates. Some of the best include a 3.40% APY 12-month CD, a 4.00% APY 36-month CD and a 4.50% APY 60-month CD. Minimum deposit is $1,000. IRA certificates and Jumbo certificates with a $90K minimum have rates 10 basis points higher. These rates are listed in the credit union's rate table as of 1/11/2009.

Membership is open to those who live or work in Dallas or Northwest Harris counties. Please refer to the credit union's Membership Page for the full details. Membership requires a minimum balance of $25 in the share savings account. There's an online application via Andera which allows funding via an ACH transfer.

The credit union has branches in the Texas cities of Dallas, Garland, Grand Prairie, Irving, Mesquite and Houston.

Resource One has some solid ratings for soundness: 4 stars (excellent) at BauerFinancial and 4 stars (sound) at Bankrate. Both ratings are based on 9/30/08 data. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA (Charter # 68439).

It has been a while since my last post on Resource One. The last post was in September 2006 when the credit union was offering a 5.80% 24-month CD and a 5.60% 6-month CD. Those were the good ole days for savers.

Thanks to the reader who emailed me news of these rates.
