Mutual Security Credit Union is a special CD with a rate that is very rare these days. It has a 5.50% APY with a term of 55 months. The credit union also has a CD special with competitive rates for larger balances. These rates are more inline with the current rate environment. Rates for 11-month and 17-month terms include 2.80% APY for a minimum deposit of $50K, 2.65% APY for a $25K minimum and a 2.40% APY for a $500 minimum. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Fairfield, Litchfield or New Haven County Connecticut. You can also be eligible via select employer groups and family.
