WTDirect $75 Savings Account Promotion

POSTED ON BY

WTDirect

WTDirect has another promotion for opening a new savings account. It's a much smaller bonus than what they offered in May when you could earn up to $500. This one is only $75. It's similar as the last one. You have to open a new account and deposit at least $10,000 by June 30, 2010. You then have to maintain $10K for three months until September 30th. If you qualified, WTDirect will credit your account around mid October.

This special has been advertised on Google. Here's the link for the promotion. There's no promo info on this page so I called WTDirect (I like their "we'll call you" feature) and confirmed that the promotion is available. Make sure the code DXXX_JUNBON075 is in the promotions code field of the application. This should be pre-filled.

The initial funding doesn't have to be $10K, but you must have $10K on deposit by June 30th. Since that's not far away, you may want to make the $10K your initial deposit to ensure you make it in time.

For more details about WTDirect and the savings account, please refer to my WTDirect Savings Account Review (half way down the post). As I described in that review, the WTDirect has seveal nice internet banking features. The interest rate is not the best (currently 1.16% APY on balances of at least $10K).

For those who opened a WTDirect account last May, have you been happy with the banking features? How fast are the ACH transfers?

The $75.00 offer was not good for old customers with new money.  You had to be a new customer with the exception of not having earned a bonus for a least one year.  The online system is a little slow, but the customer service line is answered quickly.
