If you're looking for a CD in Iowa, you are fortunate. In addition to Veridian, there are other credit unions and banks that are offering good deposit deals. One is the University of Iowa Community Credit Union. As I reported in March, this credit union has one of the best reward checking accounts in the nation, and it has several hot rate for CDs including a 2.50% APY 16-month CD and a 2.60% APY 37-month CD (as of 4/20/2011). Liberty Bank, FSB has the best 5-year CD with a 3.00% APY. It also has a special 23-month CD with a 2.13% APY (as of 4/20/2011).
