When credit unions celebrate their anniversaries, they often will have some good deals. That’s the case for the 50th anniversary of Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union. It’s offering a special 13-month CD with a 1.30% APY. It’s scheduled to last until April 28, 2013. Minimum deposit is $500, and it’s also available in IRAs and business accounts. In addition to opening this CD at a branch, members can open it by phone or online. According to the promo page, “when opening your account online, be sure to select the 12-17 month option and then specify 13 month under the term. Additionally, when opening your account online, your promotional rate will be effective within one business day of account opening.”

Membership is established by opening a savings account with a minimum $5 balance. This can be done at a branch or online. The online application is provided by Andera, and it allows account funding via an ACH transfer.
