Bank OZK is a regional bank based in Little Rock, Ark., and founded in 1903. The bank, previously known as Bank of the Ozarks, serves not only Arkansas but also Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas, with more than 200 branch locations. Products include checking accounts, savings accounts, certificates of deposit (CDs), loans and credit cards.
Checking:
Among the checking options are an interest-earning account, a rewards account and a checkless account with lower fees. Minimum opening deposit requirements for checking accounts range from $25 to $50.
Savings:
Bank OZK’s savings account allows you to round up debit card transactions and automatically transfer the difference to your savings account. The account requires a $50 minimum opening deposit and charges a $3 monthly service fee that is waived for the first two monthly cycles after opening and then by maintaining a minimum daily balance of $100 or more.
Savers can access money market, retirement and education savings accounts. The bank also offers CDs with a minimum $1,000 opening deposit and terms from seven days to five years.
Business banking:
The bank offers business checking, savings and money market accounts. These accounts charge a monthly service fee, with a waiver available.
For general banking, you can set up a Safety Link to transfer funds from a linked savings, checking, money market or line of credit account to another BankOZK account to prevent overdrafts.
Online/mobile banking:
Customers can use Bank OZK’s online and mobile banking platforms to view account balances and transactions, transfer funds and deposit checks, manage debit card settings, and receive real-time alerts. Secure login options such as face or touch ID are available.
