Beacon Federal Credit Union’s (Beacon FCU) 60-month CD is currently earning 3.25% APY. The minimum opening deposit is $1k, with no stated balance cap.
As this rate has been in effect for nearly seven months, I asked CSR if there was any indication that it may be lowered. CSR stated they are rarely notified ahead of time of any rate changes. Caveat emptor.
The 60-month CD is also available as an IRA (Traditional, Roth), earning the same APY with the same funding requirements.
According to CSR, the Early Withdrawal Penalty for all Beacon FCU CDs is only six months interest on the amount withdrawn, with partial withdrawals allowed.
