Charter Oak CU (CT) Offers 17-Month Go Certificate Special
Charter Oak Credit Union (Connecticut) has brought back its 17-month GO Share Certificate Special (2.00% APY). The minimum opening deposit is $1K, with a maximum aggregate total of $200K for all GO Certificates per qualified member.
According to CSR, the Early Withdrawal Penalty is 180 days interest.
This promotional rate is automatically available to Charter Oak Credit Union Gold Rewards members, while non-Gold Rewards members must fulfill the following requirements to receive the 2.00% APY. In addition, non-Gold Rewards members must use new money to open the 17-month GO Share Certificate (CD) Special.
- Monthly direct deposits of at least $750 during the term of the CD, OR
- 4 unique monthly "Bill Pays" during the term of the CD
If the above conditions are not met, the rate on the 17-month GO CD Special will be reduced to 0.60% APY until maturity. GO Checking
Charter Oak CU also has a GO Checking account earning 3.00% APY on balances up to $10K; balances over $10K earn 0.25% APY. The GO Checking account can be opened with a $50 deposit and has the following requirements to earn the stated APY:

- Online Banking
- 10 Debit Card transactions monthly
- Monthly direct deposits of at least $750, OR
- 4 unique monthly "Bill Pays"
