In celebration of 70 years of continuous service, Cornerstone Community Financial Credit Union (Cornerstone) is currently offering a 15-month CD Special earning 0.70% APY. The CD Special can be opened with a $1k minimum deposit of new money (defined as funds currently not on deposit at Cornerstone), with no stated balance cap. This is limited-time offer, with the rate "effective October 1st, 2021 through December 31st, 2021 or unless otherwise noted." In other words, it’s available until it’s not.

As stated in the Truth-in-Savings disclosure (page 32), the Early Withdrawal Penalty reads as follows:

If your account has an original maturity of more than one year, the penalty we may

Funding a CD Special can be done by ACH, wire transfer, or check. Maturing funds will be distributed by bank check or wire transfer, or transferred into a Cornerstone savings account. There is a seven business day grace period in which to withdraw funds before the 15-month CD Special automatically renews as a 12-month CD.

Cornerstone participates in the CO-OP Shared Branch network, giving its members access to more than 5,500 credit unions across the country.

Unlimited beneficiaries can be named (equal shares), with a Social Security number required for each beneficiary.
